That's why I asked so specifically, Sock Simian. Many people seem to have very different ideas about what restarting/rebooting a Kindle actually entails.

They don't have that kind of reset but I did reset my Kindle and it didn't work. I can't get the idea of how to fix my problem. I need help

I don't believe that's technically true. They should ALL have "that kind of reset." But what exactly do you mean by "I reset my Kindle?" What were the steps you took to do so?

You should find the 'Restart" menu item right near the "Reset to Factory Defaults" menu item. Which of those are you saying you've tried?

The steps to "Restart" the Kindle should be very similar to:
1) make sure the Kindle is not in sleep mode.
2) press the "Home" button to go to the Home screen.
3) press the Menu button to bring up the menu.
4) use the arrow buttons to navigate to the "Settings" menu item.
5) press the center button to go to the Settings screen.
6) press the Menu button to bring up the menu again.
7) use the arrow buttons to navigate to the "Restart" menu item.
8) press the center button to restart the Kindle.
9) watch while the Kindle restarts.

You hold the power bottom till it resets it. I did that more then once and it didn't work. It does the whole reset thing and everything

What Diap is saying is that there are two different things. He just gave you step by step instructions on how to restart your Kindle through the menu option. It is different then what you did.

People are trying to help you but you do not seem to be willing to take their advice or answer their questions in a manner that will help them help you.

No one is treating you like you are two. No one here knows you. There are people who ask for help who do not realize that there is a menu setting that can help them or who realize that you can fix something by holding the power button for five seconds. Since people do not know you and what you know, they start with the basics. This is a common practice.

All you have to say is "Yes I did that and it did not work."

When you say you can't connect to the Internet are you trying to use the built in browser? If so, have you tried just connecting to the Amazon Store? Does that work?

Have you rebooted the router?

I try the Amazon thing when I can. I try the whole reset thing and it didn't work. Anything other then the Amazon thing to help me fix the problem?
