Poor Software (a lot of features promised never came to the release), poor Hardware (the page turn bar had a spring of very poor quality), eink was fading in the sun, slow page turn rate.

It was a dream in the beginnging cause i was reading for years on poor lcd devices like Psion, Pocket PC and the Nokia 770. The eink was so nice.

But the device promised way too much. iRex was a very crappy company with crappy support. But in the end it was the pinoneer in avaibly eink reader and so i loved it (for a while).

Looking back to this time from today the price was a bummer. I don't know the exactly amount anymore but i think it was round about 700 Euro or so.

Funny thing is my iLead is still working. I don't read on it since years now and seriously it is not worth anymore but it is still alive

After about 9 months the battery got very hot, so hot I was afraid the device was going to burst into flames and then it died. I sent it back and was told the battery would be replaced. I never got the reader back despite my best efforts to contact the company. After months I received an email telling me that they had sent it to me and it was now my problem. Never heard from them again and never saw the reader.

I thought their demise was well deserved.

Jeez, I'm glad I didn't buy one!
