If you're thinking of buying one, just be aware that you're basically buying an internet terminal. After living with one for an extended period, if price is an issue my advice would be to buy the cheapest Windows laptop you can find and install Chrome (or get one of the $399 iPads). It'll be a lot more versatile and cost about the same.

On the other hand, there are no virus issues with ChromeOS and it self-updates. It all depends on what your needs are.

As for Flash, I hate it with a passion and I don't own a single Apple product. Flash needs to die already, it was an absolute failure.

All? no...,

there are times when maybe useful but all technology has tradeoff. enginering is hard work - consumers think more right than wrong with apple products

newest nokia not have sd slot either.

new apple president has shown different thinking than Jobs. maybe sd slot come in the future.

even if sd slot come-- critics still not be happy. then will want dualboot into Android!

I tricked myself into thinking I would need those adapters, bought them, and 2 years later found I never needed them.

They're not implying anything about you unless you decide to take their comments personally. I use an Apple laptop as well as one that dual-boots into Windows and Linux. I don't care what anyone says because it's unwise to place one's self-confidence in the hands of people who generalize about individuals based on the brand names of the objects they buy.

Besides, they're talking about consumers who fall for Apple's marketing, not users who choose circumscribed gear for intelligent reasons.

Also odd how Apple consumers are idiots who have been tricked by marketing, but the same doesn't seem to apply to Samsung and Kindle Fire owners.
Still, I'm sure that will turn out to be Apple's fault too
