Hi! I'm trying to promote my book series "The Society On Da Run." I've done everything from Facebook to Blogging, and nothing is working...yet. It is about the Space Dragon empire "Draconizica" and how they are sick of humans tormenting them. For those who want to know what Draconizica Dragons are, look here: ALIEN SPECIES WIKI: http://aliens.wikia.com/wiki/Space_D..._(Draconizica)
Thedragongod Wiki: http://thedragongod.wikia.com/wiki/S...re_Draconizica (more preferred to use Thedragongod wiki and comments are welcome there) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Their "immortal" prince (human-dragon) initiates a war that soon ends with a surprising twist. There are also three sub-plots at play (well, I'm not sure if poetry stories have sub plots): the human/dragon prince's relationship with his "peace-loving" girlfriend, the dragons attempts to engineer a virus for turning certain humans into Dragons-Humans, and a haunted facility on Mars. Links: the Facebook page: Thedragongod (somewhat a fan page for the main character and is also where excerpts are posted): http://facebook.com/thedragongod Blogs: http://princesslilo.wordpress.com/ BUY THE FREE EBOOKS: Space Dragon Poetry: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/106411 Dragonworld ETC (ALSO FREE): http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/93742 AUTHOR PAGE ON SMASHWORDS: http://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/thedragongod GOODREADS: Dragonworld ETC: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...ragonworld-etc Please share the links and support me! ![]() Last edited by Thedragongod; 02-24-2012 at 03:12 AM. |

anyone?
If Christopher Paolini got popular through self publishing, it means I can too! (and I've been writing TSODR since I was ten). |

I'm downloading the promo to my Kobo right now. It'll be several weeks before I start it (I want to finish The Hunger Games first), but I will at a minimum read through the free preview. Approx. how many pages is the preview?

Thank you for taking interest and sorry for the long wait for a reply! I haven't been here in a while and since then I've updated the ebooks and am in the process of reorganizing my Smashwords page and taking down a few of the ebooks because of their short length. Dragonworld ETC (which I assume is the one you downloaded) is moreso a standalone poetry chapbook clocking in at 32 pages, and wasn't intended to be a promotion. If the one you downloaded is La Cicala di Italia (which is 30 pages), you can get the whole thing free inside this ebook: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/106411 but both books serve as a preview to the longer version: http://www.amazon.com/Dragons-Cicada.../dp/B006ZDQH0I Sorry if everything is in circles! I'm SO HAPPY you are taking interest, and I am okay with waiting for several weeks. I will update this post with newer information. I thought it was just sitting here not being viewed by anyone. |

I read some of the volume on Smashwords you linked to in your last post. Volume 9 in the Society On Da Run, it seems? At any rate, I must admit that the idea of post apocalyptic SF poetry is intriquing. In the prose at the beginning of the book it was occasionally unclear what was dialogue and what was narration, but it was holding my attention. The editing was a bit uneven at times (no typos, but occasional clunky sentences and repeated words). Still, an interesting approach and I will read more.
