I haven't thought it through, but my guess is that you should always pick a second number. If it's higher than the first, stay with it. If it's lower, you obviously pick the third number. This should improve your odds to 2/3. I think.

Edit: Actually, I have to take that back. Issy did answer the question I asked, so she has won the quiz, but her odds are a little off.

I'm not sure. The combinations are;

H = highest
M = middle
L = lowest

L M = miss
L H = hit
M H = hit
M L H = hit
H L M = miss
H M L = miss

So that method makes it a 50/50 chance, I think

Is that the best that can be achieved?

LOL, I guessed 50% first, then went back and edited. You should always go with your first guess--that's standard SAT strategy.

If people would just accept that we all are able to 'know' more than we have been taught, and able to 'find answers' without having been given them first, we just might be on the right path to awareness...

While we take comfort in calling them 'guesses,' 'hunches,' 'intuition,' etc., there is another name for these (that most educated folks are afraid of!

) yet has been recognized for thousands of years... before science told us it just could not possibly be.

Use it or lose it. We are 'programmed' and brow-beaten to lose it as soon as we enter school. It takes work to get it back.

Give the Roman names for British cities, as in Londinium for London.

Luton - Lutonium

Also:

Great Britain - Albion
Scotland - Caledonia
Ireland - Hibernia

but they're hardly cities...
