So I bought the UK version. I have never read them and I think I will prefer those. I didn't need a second account, just a second email.
You cannot use American Express yet but my debt card worked fine. |

I find them in my Amazon account without any distinction from "real" Amazon/Kindle books. |

Choose the gift option and email the UK version to yourself at a second email address. All you have to say is that the person is a Brit. Then you get a gift certificate code and you can download the UK version. It was disgustingly simple.

It's really not secure. Using Firebug for Firefox I managed to add both collections to the cart at the same time.

If you want to download the book through B&N or Sony later you are better off pretending that the other person is a Canadian.

OK. Why?
I was able to send it to my Kindle account and download it to my computer using the gift certificate method. Granted, I am an American but I am not sure why it would work differently if I was a Canadian. Asked with all seriousness and not trying to be snarky. |

I'm not sure what country you're actually from, but you can change your Pottermore Shop account to Canadian or US long enough to link your B&N account. It seems to look at account information rather than IP address, which is awesome. |

Now between the US and the UK versions, does the UK version have all the graphics that the US version has or would we be better to get a pirated copy with the graphics and use those to add into the UK version?

The UK version does not have the illustrations, that is what I was told.
I don't think that is a huge deal and decided that I preferred them in the mother language. |

All I did was click on the UK version, select it as a gift, enter the email address for the gift, select that the gift receiver was a Brit, and then create my Pottermore account using a different email account.

ProfCrash is right. The UK versions never had the illustrations or varied fonts in the print editions either. I'd just pull the illustrations and fonts and add 'em in if you want the best of both worlds. I'm mildly considering doing that myself, actually.

I already have the fonts. So that's not a problem. As for the illustrations, can someone say what size they are so I will know if I'm getting ones that are close enough if not as large?
