A stack of about 12 non-fiction titles from the sale tables, from the local megabookstore chain, at the beginning of the month. I've also been receiving my BookDepository orders from the end of last month, in the mail.

A stack of books from a thrift store a week ago. I frequently find interesting books at 2% to 20% of their retail price, so those shopping sprees aren't going to end any time soon.

Not everything is available in a digital edition. And digital versions are not always cheaper than used books. I'm a regular customer at a local used book store, several thrift stores, and an online retailer of remainders. But I haven't bought a current paperback or hardcover book in I don't know how long. |

I still buy paper books. I own a Kindle, but I'm not convinced that the ebook-formats of today will be readable in ten, twenty years. My paper books have no such problem. If I can read my ebooks of today on the Kindle 10 oder the whatever-version-2030, then I'll probably stop buying paper books, not before. Major technological innovations have often broken your digital stuff; it's also possible with ebooks.

Bought 3 paper books today. A guide to knitting yarns, a book of cat cartoons and The History of the World According to Facebook. E is great for novels but there are some type of books that work best in paper. By the way, the Facebook one is hillarious. |

If something is not available in digital form, I just read something else. No pbooks for me, except for books which rely on high quality pictures.

For my light reading, I now exclusively prefer ebooks, unless they're only available in paperbook form. For the more serious stuff like textbooks that need to be re-read and annotated and referred to constantly, I tend towards physical books. |

I buy my favourite authors in hardback form, as I get these when they are released, if the ebook versions where cheaper than the hardback edition then I would consider getting just ebooks I dont buy paperback editions of books, just the ebook edition, if something is expensive in ebook or not available I will get something else |

I haven't even been in a bookstore in a year and I used to go twice a week at least. I doubt I will ever buy fiction in paper again. |

Did not know they still made paper books???? For my Masters work, I buy Ebook if avail, because highlighting, searching, citing, etc is MUCH easier with E-Book then Paper... but its probably 50-50 on whether or not the ebook exists. For pleasure reading... if its not an ebook, I dont buy it. I used to have 100's of paper backs... storage and transportation of them was a nightmare. Gave them all away. Now i have a Dropbox folder with all my ebooks converted to EPub in it. No more transportation or storage issues. Sure one day tech will move on, but there will be tools like Calbri for converting formats. As long as I keep them in on of the major formats of the day, conversion to new formats should be non-event. |

I still go to the used bookstore for myself and I still buy children's books (used and new) for my 3 year old. I think a real book is better for him than a Kindle at this age.
