And it would cost you $80/year ($40 for students), if you weren't already a Prime member (and the primary member on the Prime account)....

The prime cost to get all three free is $20 (you can cancel after the three months it takes to read them), and you dont' get to keep the books (which you'll want to do, so family members can read them), so I'm not saying it's a great deal, but definitely not as bad as $158.

you don't get access to the "library" unless you own a physical kindle. Cheapest of which is 79 bucks. Prime is a good deal for many, but you are paying for what you get. |

eBooks on Prime are an added extra if you already use the service, but I don't think it offers sufficient value to me to sign up for it for ebooks alone. I wouldn't use the video option and I'm happy with 2-3 day free delivery for most physical items I order which isn't that often. I doubt I'd read $80 worth of ebooks in a year when most books I buy are special offers or free. However, if you already have prime for the other reasons and you use it to read the ebooks that don't tend to get discounted, I can see it having quite a bit of value to some. |

I just bought four Ernest Hemingway books at $0.99 each. They have duplicate titles and their counterparts are $12.99 for the exact same title. I don't get it. They appear to be the same thing re length & file size. It's not a shortened version for the $0.99. It made absolutely no sense to me. Naturally I bought the $0.99 versions.

Of course, if you can't save that $79 over a short time, you aren't trying hard with the special offers (although it does take much longer than for those who went ahead and grabbed them immediately, knowing the best deals would be early, to entice other buyers).

Can someone with a new or non-US/UK account check the pricing on this one: http://www.kobobooks.com/ebook/Raven...Jwg/page1.html I'm seeing 8.49, but it's listed on their 4.99 or less page... |
