I came via carpool this morning, but I guess we could take the bike home. I'll need to get a little basket for the front like the one Dorothy has in the Wizard of Oz movie. And you'll likely be terrorized by the cats -- well, one of them, anyway; the other is pretty easy-going. And you'll be tweeted by the cockatiel. I was at the theatre last night with some friends, one of whom is a self-employed wedding planner, and she said that the real advantage is that she can fall (usually not literally, she clarified) out of bed and straight into work. In her pyjamas!
Or not, if it so takes your fancy, but this has already been discussed elsewhere.
While technically one or both of those options are available to me as an employed individual, I suspect either one might trigger a rapid change of status to 'unemployed'. Or possibly 'insane', leading to 'committed'.
On the other hand, I could probably then wear my pyjamas ALL THE TIME.....

I think they provide pajamas, in fact... the kind with extra-long sleeves.

You know .... I tried that (working in my PJs). The problem is, I get so comfortable, I fall asleep at my desk.

Now, I change into street clothes and try to convince myself that, if I'm dressed it MUST be work time.

Then, I usually fall asleep at my desk.

yep, i'm working in my pyjamas right now (or rather, i'm working in the "lounging around the house" clothes that i put on when i get out of bed, since i don't wear pyjamas, but that's probably more detail than you need), since i was up late last night (working, for once, i feel it's important to mention) and then had to get up earlier than i wanted to this morning, to finish the work i was working on last night. and since then i haven't really had time to stop (other than my frequent but not frequent enough for my taste MR micro-breaks).

i appreciate this privilege most when we're in the middle of a heatwave, since if i absolutely have to work (and god knows i'll do everything in my power to get out of it, in a heat wave... even more than during normal weather, which is already a lot), at least i can do it with no clothes on at all.

that's exactly why i don't wear pyjamas. ha !! takes more than sneaky long-sleeved pyjamas to catch a pinwheel !!

I always wear my PJs all the time, just under my clothes.

BTW, does LOL-Cats, LOL-Dogs, LOL-Tigers, LOL-Etc lead to LOL-ofaction?
