Delay in processing payment/receipt for Kobo book purchase
This morning when I checked my email I found an order receipt from Kobo thanking me for my purchase. I was immediately suspicous because it's a few weeks since I bought a book from Kobo.
After checking I'm a bit confused because I did purchase the book on the 26th February and downloaded it to ADE immediately. Both ADE and Calibre show the book dated the 26th Feb and I know it happened then because it was a birthday present for my husband and I loaded it onto his iPad on the evening of the 27th Feb. He has already read the book.
So then I checked my credit card and saw that the other 2 books that I purchased at the same time (but in different transactions of course!) were there but the charge for the third book was missing.

I'm not disputing the charge at all and I am happy to pay because I did buy the book but I'm wondering why has it taken almost a month for Kobo to send me the receipt and presumably charge my credit card? As of a few minutes ago there is still no charge on my card but I expect it to appear tomorrow.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Yes the same thing happened to me a book I purchased and downloaded a month ago was not charged until yesterday.

I got a receipt yesterday for the book I bought and downloaded on 8 March.

I ordered a gift card for my dad on Mar 3, to be delivered the same day. I didn't get any confirmation email and the gift card wasn't delivered, and my credit card hadn't been charged yet - but I didn't want to re-order in case I got charged twice.

The gift card was delivered 2 weeks late - I got the confirmation email the same day as delivery. I complained and was told I shouldn't order for the same day because they can sometimes arrive a few days late. 2 weeks isn't acceptable though!

Me too. I ordered about 10 books one day (using up coupons) and a few of them are just billing now.
