I'm up way too early for a Sunday morning but I've done some useful things already. I copied my music and ebook libraries and ripped films to my external HD so I can take them with my on holiday next week. I printed my packing lists for later today because I'm always paranoid I forget things. And I've, finally, ordered a Decal Girl skin for my Kindle Keyboard. It was very hard to choose which one I wanted but in the end I ordered the Beauty Branch, I think and hope it'll go nicely with my Oberon case.

As long as you have credit cards and passport AND spare undies in every bag. Then you can always buy stuff. I went to Darwin and for some reason did not pack undies. I had to live on my spares(back inside pocket of my handbag) for the first day until I could get to the shops and buy some more.

I've got standard packing lists in Evernote. Considering we're staying in the Netherlands and are close to several towns and cities it isn't a big problem if I forget something but I'd rather not. Most important is not to forget my wallet, the pill, my Kindle and my chargers.
I've just packed most things. I'm waiting for the laundry to get done to pack the rest of my clothes and later today I'm packing the box with stuff as toilet paper, bin bags (don't know if those are provided in the cottage we've rented), games and some food and drink for the first day. Tomorrow morning I can pack the last things as my toiletries, chargers and notebook. Tomorrow my parents are bringing us to the holiday park but first we go visit my grandmother. My father plays billiard twice a week with a friend which is in the same town as the holiday park. So the four of us are going to have dinner either at the park or in town and then my father is going to play billiard and will pick my mother up on the way back. |

We're at the holiday park right now. It's a really nice cottage and the village is a short bicycle ride away. Our parents brought us and after unpacking and setting up some thing we went into the village. We had planned to eat at a restaurant but most are closed on Monday so we got some take-away at the park.
On Wednesday there's market in the village and on Saturday in a town further away, we plan on visiting both. There's also lots of great walking and cyclling areas around so if the weather's going to be as good as they are predicting we'll go cycling/walking too. |

Spring sprung! I have proof!
![]() We found a new garden to explore, and it's right in our own neighborhood. After taking a ride for a few hours today, we pointed ourselves back towards the house. About 2k before we reached the house we saw a sign for this place and decided to take a walk. Glad we did. I only had my cell phone camera with me so I really couldn't do justice to what we saw in this little gem, but there were winding stone paths through bamboo glades, several koi ponds, plenty of stone lanterns nestled into the mosses that were all around, and even an old tea ceremony house complete with its own tiny well... If the sun is out tomorrow, I'll go back with my camera! Stitchawl |

Waiting for the pasta to cool so I can finish making a pasta salad for tonight's dinner and probably tomorrow's lunch.
Today we went into the village again, had another look around, ate ice cream whilst sitting in the sun and did some shopping. The bungelow park only has a wireless hotspot in the main building and in the bungelows there's a wired connection. Because I suspected that there would be only one LAN outlet I had packed an old network switch. Yesterday after hooking everything up it didn't work, luckily I soon saw a cross-cable pictogram on the switch ![]() |

As for internet, I wouldn't rent a cottage in a park without internet. Tonight I'm going to see if I can get a fire going in the fireplace and watch a film with some nice snacks (diet is on hold until next week ![]() |

The crisis is over! Finally! Mr. Mouse was located, unharmed, under the kitchen stove .... hidden amongst the ping pong balls. He has been restored to Stella's loving paws and peace reigns again in our humble domicile. [Mr. Mouse is an oversize catnip mouse that Stella carries around in her mouth like a puppy with a chew toy. He no longer has any fur.] |

Good news today, I got back my money from the computer store, they never did call me back about what was happening. Also my mother messaged me that the broken roof tiles have been replaced today so my room should stay dry when it rain (seeing is believing).
I've been looking at the latest tablets today and I think the Galaxy Note 10.1 looks very interesting. It's got a dual core processor, which is slower than the quad core the Transformer Prime has but the screen is very good for handwriting and drawing and I would like to be able to do the latter. But now I'll wait what the (customer) reviews have to say about it before buying one. |
