I am unaware of the special offer version.
I believe it is the regular version.
You should be able to re-register it with Amazon.
It will be deactivated from my account, and restored to factory settings.

The Original K3 did not come with special offers. You can get SO on it if you want now, and can go back to without SO if you don't like them. Once it is de-registered, any buyer can re-register it without a problem. Hope this helps a bit to answer your questions.

Don't know what the unlocked comment was about, only phones come as unlocked, and this is not a phone!

Unless the unlocked is refering to the newer version Kindle's having the 3g now locked to Amazon only, whereas the older version allowed use of the experimental internet to check email and other online stuff. No longer allowed on the new 3g Kindle's.

In the topic, you are saying the 3G is unlocked. If it's unlocked, that means th software has been modified. This may not be legal to sell if it is unlocked. I suggest you look into this to verify if it is unlocked or not and if it is unlocked that it is legal to sell it.

No, it isn't unlocked. It was bought off Amazon, used for two months or so and then stored away. I haven't modified anything, though thank you for bringing this to my attention! Greatly appreciated!
