Yes, I have. I have the Jot Pro purchased originally for my iPad. I wouldn't recommend it for the KF. Its behavior is a bit puzzling. Let me explain.

The Jot has some (widely reported) problems with missed strokes on the iPad. However, a very small dab of conductive grease where the point of the stylus snaps into the surrounding collar more or less resolves that problem. However, I've found on the KF that the missed stroke problem is VERY severe, even with the fix that works relatively well on the iPad.

Sorry to be a wet blanket. The stylus, itself, is very attractive. I like its weight and feel better than any stylus I've tried. (And I've tried a bunch, believe me.) But unlike the other styluses I have that more or less (a bit less, actually) match the performance on the iPad, the Jot is practically unusable for any "sliding" motion.

On the other hand, I would recommend any of the styluses from iFaraday.com. They use a conductive fabric rather than a rubber "ball" and work quite well on both the iPad and the KF. (Not affiliated with the manufacturer, by the way.) The fellow who makes them is very responsive and supports customers well. Can't speak for him, of course, but I know of several cases where he has offered to return or replace styluses that people find wanting for one reason or another.

In addition to the iFaraday styluses, I have several others from Targus, Rocketfish (Best Buy brand), and a couple of no-name manufacturers. All work relatively well on the KF but not as well as on the iPad. That's the difference between the engineering and attention Apple puts into the iPad, I think, rather than any significant difference in the styluses.

Hi thanks for the detailed report
I was hoping to be able to make some finer strokes in Autodesk Sketchbook mobile but I can still manage by changing brush sizes in the app with my current "roocase "stylus

Cheers

It's a common misconception that a fine point stylus will draw a thinner line than one with a wider tip. That's not the case. All styluses used on a capacitive screens must have the same width contact point, about the width of a finger tip just touching the screen. Finer or thicker lines depend upon the application (as you note above), not on the width of the contact point.

The Jot stylus does have a fine point but it is the transparent collar around the point that makes it work. That is what activates the sensors in the capacitive screen. There is a slight advantage (at least at first) in being able to see the center of the contact point but once you learn to use any particular stylus, you'll be able to estimate that center point without thinking about it.
