I have it on my mac desktop to root my KF and I'm just terrified to do it. I also have to take some pain meds and if I do, I will be totally unterrified and should move away from the computer. <g> Not sure what to do.

Take half the pain meds and do what you need to do. I don't think it takes long....when you're done take the other half. It's called *how to be unterrified and still in control.

The only thing that rooting did for me is open Android Market (or is it Google Play). I think it was worth it because I had a number of apps already bought.

Well you do have that utility to return it to stock correct?
that will be important if things go awry. |

But once the update comes it unroots it and you have to re-root and you never know when the updates will come automatically and OTA so....more of a pain

It's called OTA Rootkeeper and is available at the Android Market for free. |

Doesn't OTA Rootkeeper just prevent the update from happening? I don't care if an update unroots the thing as long as it doesn't make it malfunction. I'll root it again. I think Jan 14 was the last update. I'm a little concerned that one is coming any day. It's been a while.

Hahahah--- absolutely NOTHING happened. Either the directions are wrong, the thing doesn't work or there is a step missing. Mac users--don't bother. Borrow a Windoze machine. |

Maybe someone else who has it could let me know if this is a correct assumption. |
