What version of Wine and Kindle4PC are you using? I've got Kindle un-drm'ing working flawlessly under Kubuntu 11.04 (which comes with Wine 1.2.2) using an old version of Kindle4PC ("v1.0 Beta 1 (23358)", apparently), if that helps.

I can't remember - and I don't even like using wine unless I have to. It's an old version. I don't use Ubuntu, but rather Debian. At any rate, the material I have from amazon are their freebies, which are a great way for me to sample what formats I have to deal with. I'm cool putting up with it because it is free, but I'd be quite upset if this were materials I had to pay for. When it comes to stuff I pay for I have higher standards.

To address a mixed group of people in the second person form, I generally use the term "folks".

Amazon stops itself. I bought two books today and picked up a freebie.
Twenty five dollars in all. By the luck of the draw all three turned out to be .azw. |

Probably be better to say, "I prefer *** to ladies." Of course, if the person is not directly addressing you, it might be best to just move on to the next post and not make a mountain out of a mole hill. |

Maybe as an author I'm a bit more sanguine about the whole Amazon debate. I don't care where you buy my book, as long as you enjoy it. |
