What about UK/Europe ?

 I reckon all returned/used/demo 350's & 650's in Europe get sent to US - 'cos I've never seen any refurbished ones for sale on the Sony site - or is there a crafty little trick to finding them ?

While otoh build.beta "just" provides the *.js scripts of PRS+ in a uncompressed, read and editable format. Most, if not all development is done with beta-packs. Connect the reader, change the script, disconnect, the new PRS+ beta code is loaded, test, get some traces logged Code: var log;
log = Core.log.getLogger(">YourHeaderHere<");
..
log.trace('>your trace message here<', + somevar);

 There is still one prs 350 at my local Best Buy. It has been there on clearance for $129 since before the T1 came out. I was surprised to still see it there all alone today. I dont know why they dont reduce the price further. Anyone who walks in to get a sony ereader will just buy the T1. I asked last onth for the clerk to scan it to see if maybe it was cheaper in the system. It was not.

What did you pay for them?? I think $129 is a bit much. The one at the best buy near me is just collecting dust.

I know there are a lot of new models some of which are cheaper or the same price as a used/refurb PRS-350 but by far, the best firmware I've used on an e-ink reader is PRS+. I'm willing to forego all the niceties (e.g. Wi-Fi, faster CPU) if that means I can continue using PRS+. At $150, though, forget it. I'd take my chances with the T1 and just root.

 I actually bought a spare for $129 when the T-1s came out, and I was thrilled to find one at that price, which if you remember is $50 lower than the original price of the 350, they were originally $179 before the $50 off sales started. Yes, you can get a T-1 for that or less quite often, but I really think the quality between the 2 readers still puts the 350 above the T-1. I love the metal frame of my readers, the firmware is bug-free, and coupled with PRS+ it has everything I want in an ereader. If I were buying another one today, I'd still be willing to pay the $129 price for a new 350. |

 I reckon I grabbed one of the last 350's from Best Buy UK at a very good price - they closed down very shortly after. And I know the cash was taken from the account, so it wasn't my fault !! |

 I would buy one just for the stylus. What happened to the thread about the replacement stylus for the 350? I remember it was in here a few months back, but it seems to have disappeared. |

 I would send a PM to chris77586 to make sure he's still able to do it. But the original thread is here, and another option for ordering is here. I believe he now has those links in his current signature.

 Most of you like the PRS-350 better than the T1? I am strongly considering a T1, it seems better because it takes a card and holds thousands more books, bigger screen, better PDF viewing due to pinch-zoom, wifi with better browser (not sure if 350 has wifi?). I am hoping Staples has one on demo when I head out there this morning. What do you like better about the 350, if you had a chance to use both?

 I care nothing about wifi or thousands of books or PDF view. Bigger size is a fail, not an improvement. Interface improvements with PRS over standard interface (and a rooted T1 is not a big advance) make me choose my 350. And I know, my T1 was given as a gift, not my 350.
