By the way, what would happen if there were a mistake in the spelling of the email address of the person next in line ? Would the thread be broken ?

The next person in line won't receive the code. But, the person who sent the gift gets a copy of the code in their email, also. So, they could use that email to send to the next person (assuming that the incorrectly spelled email recipient didn't use the code, first).
