Recommend me books with space fighter combat

Hello, I'm looking for novels/series that are very heavy on space combat involving starfighters/ space based fightercraft.

I really like the Xwing series and the Robotech novels and was wondering if there is anything else similar? I want lots of action and space battle scenes.

Thanks!

Not so much fighter combat as large battleships, though. Navy rather than air force.

I hope you know Baen - the publisher that specializes in that kind of stuff.
They have quite a few boks - usually first part of the series and suchlike - available on the net for free.
http://www.baen.com/library/

They also distribute some of their books on CDs and those CDs are legally available here
http://baencd.thefifthimperium.com/

Be careful!
Some of those series are quite addictive when you like hard and/or military SF

I have a number of these, and also picked up Mecha Corps, Star Force, Spinward Fringe, and the Nameless War. I picked up Odyssey One for free a few months ago, and never got around to reading it. Also found Hawk Seven. I'm loving Mecha Corps so far, and Odyssey One is almost exactly what I'm looking for.

You might want to wait for the new edition of Odyssey one. It has been revised and re-edited.

Primary Inversion by Catherine Asaro (available at Baen for free) contains some fighter combat.

Some of the books above, though excellent don't really have any fighter combat, particularly the Honor Harrington books. There are some ships (LACs that come close, but they really are only featured in the later books, and except in one or two, they are usually a side story, not the emphasis. At least the early books in the RCN series don't have space fighters either (I haven't gotten very far into the series yet).
