I like to watch. I'm not much of a skater myself, I only have ice-hockey skates.

There will be a tour (much smaller, called the 11-villages-tour) in my province on Sunday. And we'll go out and look and cheer the skaters on.

The 11-city tour is sadly called off, due to the frost not continuing. The temperature was way too high before it finally started freezing (we got a 20 to 30 degrees Celcius temperature drop within the week), so the water took longer to freeze over. Sad... This was the closest we've been to a tour in a lot of years!

We had showers on and off today, fortunately not of long duration, as we were out with our Field Naturalists' group looking for birds, bandicoots and whatever else came our way. We had a Wedge-tailed Eagle fly right over our heads only about 10 feet off the ground - fantastic sight.

I remember years ago there were a pair of wedge-tails nesting on a skyscraper in Melbourne. We used to watch them through someone's binoculars - amazing!
We had a smaller eagle actually take a pigeon right in our garden one day (and this in an inner suburb of Adelaide). Just swooped down and plucked him off a railing. I am not sure of the type as he moved so fast and left us so surprised!

As for the weather - hot and fairly humid all week but no actual rain.

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yesterday the temps were in the high 60's F - I took my after dinner walk without a jacket.

Today it poured rain all day .... and now it's snowing!

Temps supposed to be in high 60's F by Wednesday!

Yes, it was quite warm Friday. I was reading on my deck with no jacket. Sunday night we had snow.

I sure would like to know where Old Man Winter's getting his drugs this year. They're certainly better than anything I ever took in the 60s.

It sounds like a falcon, but I'm definitely not an expert, just love seeing them and trying to photograph them.

We are going for the mid 20s today (about 70 for those on Fahrenheit) so I have three loads of washing out there on the line. Then it's going to start warming up, so probably that means more hot weather for you too, CazMar, as we seem to get our weather from South Australia.
