Amazon metadata: Just me or down for everyone?

Edit: Nevermind. It seems to be working again, finally.

For the last three days (at least), I have been getting NO results from Amazon on metadata / cover searches. And I mean no results - the metadata download logs show "no match found" for every single Amazon query.

And these are ALL books downloaded from Amazon.

The smart thing for me to do would be to include the relevant part of one of the logs, but I'm on the other computer and if I put this off I will forget to post it AGAIN like I have for the last three days. I will try to remember to come back in a bit from the other computer and post a relevant log segment.

So is it just me, or are others having this issue? I'm just wondering if this has anything to due with Amazon tightening up their data control.

Same here. No covers. No Metadata. Not sure if this is an Amazon or Calibre issue.

Amazon US returns covers for me (XP SP3) 8.36

Works for me as well with AMazon US. I suspect the AMazon servers are having some intermittent issues. Certainly the metadata fetch code in calibre has not had any changes in a long time.

Well it's back again. No Amazon covers this morning.

Yep, I was having issues late last night. It wouldn't bother me so much if it wasn't for the fact that most of my recent acquisitions are Amazon KDP freebies, and many haven't yet got info anywhere else. I think I've got every available English-language metadata plugin installed.

If the previous issues were any indication, it will probably be working again later. In the meantime, copy/paste is getting a workout.

I've had repeated problems with getting Amazon ASIN numbers for the last few days. But I do not seem to have them on the machine where I'm running a somewhat older version (0.8.35), only the machines running 0.8.37 and 0.8.38. OTOH, it could simply be intermittent issues on the Amazon side that have aligned that way.

I also have been experiencing the same thing with Amazon metadata and the funnier part was the books I was trying to metadata for were FROM Amazon. Not quite sure why that was happening. Even tonight - still having issues with downloading the covers. Will try again tomorrow since I am sure I will be downloading another crazy amount of free books from Amazon.
