I always aim for 365 books precisely. Whether I'll make it is anyone's guess. 2 0.74%

I voted "about 25." My actual goal is 18. I read slowly, don't get a lot of time to read, and read a good bit of nonfiction, which takes me longer than fiction.

I've not read too much in the last 2 years because I've got a lot of other hobbies too, beside my fulltime work and part time study. Now that I have a Kindle, with adjustable font size, I find that I can read even faster than normal. (Bad eye sight, so bigger and fatter fonts are better.)

I'm going to reread some books in the Shannara series, and probably reread Lord of the Rings too. Rereading its faster than first reading, for me at least. Therefore, my aim will be 52 (1 per week) books, and if I can't make that, I'll go for 37 (1 per 10 days).

Oh nice! I'm currently on the Lord of the Rings series as well, currently at Lothlorien. I've watched the movies, but this is the first time I'm actually reading the books, even though I had sworn to the moment I finished watching the movies. Oh well, at least I've started...

As for my goals, I'm planning to hit about 24 books this year. 2 new books per month, maybe more, depending on how free I am. Though I dare say I won't be so free this year, it's going to be pretty hectic for me due to work and assignments.

I think the idea of counting books is flawed and pointless, and I will probably derail this thread to say so repeatedly.

This option seems best for my count, Last year I kept a spreadsheet on the books I read, but it felt flawed because some were 30-70 page "short" stories, some were 1000 page ones...so do we not count the 30 page one, do we triple count the 1000 page one...it seems flawed, so I'm going with the I feel the average page count I read this year will be in the 8,000 - 10,000 range for the year based on an average of 33 books a year at an average 225-250 pages a book that gives me roughly 2000 pages of extra in case I fall upon some real good book series and need to read them all now now now.

I usually read about 3 a week, sometimes a little more. But to be a troublemaker, i said counting books is dreadful. I guess I don't get the kittens, (thank God).
