That damned thing just dont work...

don't complain about readers that have double tap or similar issues, you're still lucky :

I took back my first paper book since I bought my reader (two months ago) cause I wanted to finish it, after all the good euros I invested in it. Pages just don't turn either way I try to tap them Couldn't find a way to turn it off while I was busy elsewhere and it didn't kept the page I last stopped I hope I can turn it back to the library where I bought it to get it fixed (couldn't find the pinhole at the back to try a reset ) ![]() Don't beat me, I'm a bit tired

It's hard to be a technology that has remained - and still is if you think about it - pretty near perfect, to be jilted for a Jonny-come-lately bundle of wires, waves, glas, and delicateexpensive bits an pieces that people need to be convinced is a better idea ................

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXV-yaFmQNk I show my students the monk video above, then show them the baby video. I explain that they will be the old geezers in a few years. |

Now that I have both Sony Readers and a Kindle, I sometimes find myself trying to swipe the screen on the Kindle. Sometimes it takes me two swypes before I realize my own moribund stupidity.

I am rereading a favorite book, 1000 pages long. I have it in hardcover, I have it in paperback, I have it in e-book form.

I thought I would read it on my e-reader, but it just didn't seem right for an old favorite--I wanted to hold it and turn the pages--so I am reading the hardcover. |

I remember being half way through Atlas Shrugged, and seeing it in paperback at Borders. It was on that flimsy tissue paper, but was still nearly four inches thck.

I have few issues, I couldn't find batteries on my paper book, they must be out as I can't turn on the backligth...

Other issue is there seems to be just one book and no port to connect USB or any other cable. It doesn't even show as bluetooth device, how am I suppoused to move new books in it? |
