Have you got your books on an SD card? Do a "chkdsk" of the file system. For the record, this has never happened with me on any of the 4 different firmware versions I've now used.

No books on the SD card...I will check the file system as soon as I'm home next weekend. Perhaps the upgrade or rollback did something with the file system |

The new firmware gives me;
Improved, (nay), flawless bookmark and "last page read" memory. Worsened button response (unless coincident with wear&tear), perhaps worsened battery? though I don't know what the previous level was! As the improvements out-weigh the negatives for me, I shall keep the current firmware, until the next upgrade. |

I let mine drain down to about 30%--usually I top off after I hit 60% or so, but kept forgetting to plug it in last week. I left it plugged in overnight, and it's draining much more slowly now. I don't leave it on when I'm not reading, though.

Switched back to Build 538...
And just last night I got down to 10% on one of my units before it went 'frozen'...

My results fit in with that - dropping about 20% over a 12h period.
I'm not that bothered personally (I generally keep it fully charged with a few minutes connection to the PC every day) but I can see that it would be annoying for those who regularly use it away from a PC. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon. |
