post here if you got a Kindle Fire for Christmas - Page 5

My wife gave me a Fire for Christmas. I had already found this forum from my previous searching, when I got a keyboard Kindle.
I like the Fire. It's great for net-surfing, email, checking my online business and eBay, etc. A nice tool at a good price.
But, honestly, I do my reading on my older Kindle. I prefer the electronic paper to the Fire's lit screen. I spend all day at work staring at a pair of LCD screens. So when I read a book, I prefer the standard Kindle.

Note: I use both daily. I read 1-3 books a week and I usually have the Fire turned on while watching TV.

I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas and I am surprised at how much you can do with it. I intended to just read books on it however, I find myself doing more than that. So far, I love it!
