I just did the tally... 391! I stopped counting properly after a while and every time you put up a new list of purchases, I would say to myself "Ohhh! I forgot that author! I need to go back..."

Not me. Ended up with 199 @ $59.83. Got lots of great suggestions from you guys and went back several times. I've even read a few already.

I just went bananas, what with the dirt cheap prices and all, it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime chance to really stock up. I still haven't downloaded all of my purchases yet.

I wonder how many total books everyone who followed (and participated) in this thread purchased? It must be a hefty number. so far we have

If I was you I would go download them. I've had books go missing from my shelf before. Always download as soon as possible when buying from smaller ebook retailers.

I have never downloaded from this site before. Do I download these books one at a time? Do I download them to Adobe digital editions? I don't know Calibre yet

and now you have me concerned enough about missing purchases for me to do this tonight.
I purchased 103 ebooks for a savings of $412.

I'd take out the small retailers part and say always do so period. Plenty of folks have lost books when bigger sellers either went under or stopped selling ebooks (including B&N and Amazon well before Nook and Kindle existed).
