Well, it sure was fun while it lasted! I bought 156 books with the coupon, which is not quite as much as some others

, but these should provide pleasant reading for a long time to come. As an additional bonus, I bought many new-to-me authors and can find out at leisure now which of them I like.

I just calculated how much I spent. That's $13.03 für 156 books!

What an amazing bargain!

Still, it would have been nice had they continued till the 31st (not least because then I might have ordered some February releases ...)

I just downloaded some books on my Opus. Off to read ...

So sad. I suspect they cut it off because of the customer service issues.

Oh well, I got 37 books. Not a bad haul.

I am sure that you are spot on. They must have had hundreds of customer service calls. Most of those problems were due to their inadequate website.
I am so grateful to APESMOM for the posting. Their bad for announcing a great coupon code that would be good until January 31st, so why should the consumer have the door slammed in their face. Maybe I am being a little over dramatic, but I was in the middle of a purchase.

It wasn't working for a few days at the beginning of this month, too. I had a message saying it had expired when I tried to use it. Then it started working again

I'm wondering... if the customer service backlash that happens as a result of closing the code is as bad as the demands while the coupon was working...

Will they activate it again?

No they fixed it to be used for one time now. It's still works I bet only once now. If you made a new account and tried it, it would work once.

I can't really complain because I bought a whole bunch of books. I thought I was locked out at one point, but just switched browsers and never had another problem.

I was hoping to buy some of today's releases when they went on sale at the Harlequin site on the 30th or 31st, but it's only 5 or so books I really want and I'll either buy them at full price or wait until the next 50% off or spend $20 get $10 off sale (which they tend to have a few times a year).

I love your thinking.

I called them and said that they should have posted a notice on their website saying that the coupon will expire at the end of the business day. It didn't endear them to me to be locked out in the middle of a purchase. Nonetheless I am thrilled with my meager(compared to Blossom) purchases.

No where near 'winning' when compared to some of you, but here are my final stats...

179 Books for $46.40

Regular discounted Harlequin site prices $742.40
Regular List prices with no discounts $824.91

I didn't even keep track of the prices.

I bought 300 books some $0.05 and some $0.49 with two $0.86 cent books.

I am sure I saved alot.
