			Hi volwrath

When I do that to a PDF file (turn on re-flow and change the text size), and go out of Mantano, then back into the file, the file shows in non-reflow view. But when I go into re-flow view, the increased text size has been "remembered". I am using Honeycomb 3.1 on a Lenovo Thinkpad for testing at the moment - latest paid version of Mantano. Hope that helps ![]() Cheers, M |

In some ePub documents with JPEG images, I occasionally get an image that does not render (shows up blank). I can't detect any pattern to it, and replacing the image (by opening it and saving it in Paint Shop Pro, replacing the image in the source document, then re-converting to ePub) seems to clear it up on a case-by-case basis. Is there a bug in Mantano JPEG rendering, or is something else going on?

This might be a simple question, but I can't seem to find an answer.

I have my books tagged in Calibre. How can (or can I?) convert those tags into Mantano collections? If there's a way, I'm sure it's really simple & staring me right in the face, but I'm not able to find it, and rather than stressing more, I figured I might as well ask. ![]() Thanks! |

To convert books with a given tag into a collection, open the list of books with that tag, select all, then open the "Organize" menu. Last edited by SteveMB; 01-03-2012 at 10:11 PM. |

And I got a solution to my not-being-able-to-add-to-collections-due-to-thick-fingers problem... I simply installed HC and now I can use my pen which has a nice sharpish point

I found a workaround for the occasional-bad-JPEG problem:

	1. Save the source document in a format that files the images in an accessible directory (e.g. HTML). (Obviously, you can skip this if you're converting to filtered-HTML anyway during ePub creation.) 2. Run the directory through a batch picture resizer (I use Picture Resizer -- http://www.rw-designer.com/picture-resize), set to output 100% original size at an image quality no worse than the pictures are already. (Alternately, cranking down the quality a bit, within acceptable limits, can be done if you want to shrink your final filesize a bit.) Replace the images in the HTML directory with the output (Picture Resizer can be set to simply overwrite them directly). 3. Re-save in your preferred format (or go ahead to building the ePub from the HTML version). As I said, it's a workaround; hopefully whatever problem is causing Mantano to choke on the occasion JPEG will be fixed at some point. |

@SteveMB: You're having issues with JPEG 2000 images in EPUB...? Thought it's only a problem with PDF...

Or it's not related to JPEG 2000...? Cheers. |

ColorDict is the only dictionary I currently use, can I have the dictionary interface skips the intermediate step (which allows one to enter the word and select a dictionary) when I lookup a word by highlighting...?

As I noted above, running all images in a document through a 100% "resize" seems to solve the problem, which suggests that it's a JPEG format issue. |

It's probably been mentioned, but I'd like to add my request for a feature. When I edit the authors in Mantano, I have to bring up the "Authors" column on the left (from the same menu that you use to show Collections, Formats, Folder, etc.). About half the PDF's I added show up in a single folder entitled "Show books without author". It's impossible for me to edit the author for the books in this folder individually, and most of them have different authors; thus, it is impossible to edit the author for these books.

The same is true for every other field in this left column menu, too. You have to long-click on the folder containing the books (e.g. "Show books without authors", "Show books without series", "Show books without publishers", etc.) in this left-hand column in order to edit the books, but of course it edits every book in that folder. I've tried selecting books one-at-a-time using the checkbox and then editing this field, but it still edits the field for every book in the folder. Please fix. Your reader is awesome; IMO, it's the best all-around Android reader by a mile. Last edited by Madmick; 01-16-2012 at 02:29 AM. |

What added features does the full version of Mantano have over the free version? I checked the market, but the descriptions were not helpful. And also, does the full version of mantano still have its generous return policy of something like 15 days?
