Corrupted book format
I thought I saw a post about this here, but am unable to find it by searching. I have downloaded several books from Amazon that appear to be corrupted. When I click on them, the cover comes up, but as I try to move to other pages, they are all blank and the page number does not change. If I drag to 100%, it bounces back to 0%.

This weekend, I downloaded a book from my library and the same thing has happened.

However, I can read them all on my PC using the Cloud Reader with no problems.

Any suggestions?

Since they work with the Cloud Reader, then I would say they are not corrupted. It could be a problem with the Kindle app on your Kindle Fire. Is it possible to delete the Kindle app and reinstall it? If not, give Amazon CS a call.

You could try a factory reset but before I do that I would install Kindle 4 PC and see if you can read it in there first.
If so then it could be your Fire and factory reset is needed.

Thanks JSWolf and Blossom. I installed Kindle 4 PC and I can read all 3 of the books on it as well as the Cloud Reader, so I guess it is time for a Factory Reset.

Is there anything I need to know before doing the reset? Will I have to re-download all of my books after the reset, for instance?

Back up your stuff. You're amazon books will have to redownloaded yes but you can move your non amazon books to your hard drive.
