PRS-T1 Uploading from Calibre to Sony PRS-T1

Hi all,
I feel I must be missing something here. Maybe someone can answer my question or direct me to another thread with the answer.
I have a new Sony PRS-T1, which seems to work fine with the Reader for PC software and then syncing to add books to the reader.
I have a number of books in Calibre
I have installed the plugin for the Device Interface ( I think - I am not exactly sure how to check this)
I have connected my device to the PC and clicked the Data Transfer button.
Now, how do I get the books, either in bulk, or individually onto the PRS-T1
I have tried highlighting them, right clicking, picking Send to Device, but am not sure what to pick then, and whatever I have tried to pick, nothing seems to happen.
I feel a little dense about this because nobody else seems to have any trouble, but I just don't get it.
Can anyone help me please?

Do you have the most up-to date version of Calibre?

I have 0.8.33. Upgrading to 0.8.34 now. ....and it bloody worked. I don't believe it. Thanks for the help.
I now have a send to device button on the menu bar which I didn't have before. I told you I was missing something.

The "Send to Device" button will only appear in Calibre when your reader is connected to the computer.

Calibre also needs to support you reader for the button to show up. This I believe was the problem to begin with.

I was looking for the send to device button, but it didn't appear until after I updated the software. I am not sure why.
Now it appears as required, but when I tried to add approx 500 books, only about 200 were added, and the rest of them lost their covers in the adding process, and stayed on the PC. I'm not sure why this occured either.

It is possible that the 300 books that did not transfer did not have the right format required for the T1. You might have to batch convert to EPub in calibre. Or alternativly try sending fewer books at a time - e.g. limit it to 100 books at a time.

Edit: The lost covers might have been lost, because the Books did not have them in the EPub file to begin with. Calibre has the option to find and download covers so the books have covers in calibres view - but it won't automatically add them to the EPub file.

But if you go to the PRS T1 plugin (preferences -> plugins ->Device Interface plugins -> SONY PRST1 and newer) you can set Calibre to send an extra cover for the thumbnails. That way you'll always see the same cover on the T1's book list that you see in calibre.

I think .32 was OK, I think that's what I had and it worked OK.

And I found that PC wouldn't recognise the T1 in Calibre if it was plugged into a hub, not direct USB. Changed that and it worked.

That is a great feature of calibre, did not know that. I am not having a T1 yet and probably won't get one until folder support is implemented.
