Ditto. I also read another book of his... can't remember the name. I think it was the Alex Cross novel that came out right after.

Didn't really think much of either.

Is this the same guy who is credited with the "Witch and Wizard" trilogy? Those were all coauthored,
and kind of felt like they were first efforts.

Luck;

I've never "got him", thankfully, and find the few I did try to read formulaic, trite, very ordinary, lacking originality, boring, and the kind of easy "speed-read" that you can skip pages with, as you won't miss much that you don't expect.......

I don't think he's that much cop, frankly - or did that come through in my previous sentence ?

And to learn he doesn't write it all himself..... first, I could care less, but more importantly, it means there's more than one writer who could churn this stuff out if they felt like it inflicting it on the world ........

Never heard of those, but according to Wiki, yes.

I would seem you're right. As they used to say in a well know advert for one of the UK's scandal sheets (tabloid newspaper) "5 million Sun readers can't be wrong!". And as I used to scream back at the TV, "Oh yes they bloody can!"

Two of the Witch and Wizard books have been on and off at 99 cents, too. And heavily marketed that way (at least they have been heavily marketed to me.) One I think might be permanently at 99 cents.

That may have been how and why I got them, that and the cover art is
pretty good. Of course the blurb at the site must have made it sound
interesting. I'm pretty sure that I've only read about one and a half of
them, so maybe it gets better. (After all it's not like they were all written
by the same guy.)

Luck;
Ken
