Yay my account is unlocked, I emailed them a few days ago about it and I have not had a reply however I keep checking back to my book shelf and this morning voila all good

now to decide which 4 from my wishlist to get first.

HELP!!! How do I go faster? I am checking these books out 1 by 1, and typing in my credit card information each time. I had to get the car washed, wash the bedding and work today - it was 9:45 before I started buying books. I am going through the Harlequin passion category, and buying anything old (when I had Chicago Public Library, I got all Harlequin Blaze for 2009, 2010 and 2011). Anyway, there are thousands!! How can I do this faster?

Pace yourself hon. The coupon good till the end of the month. I was doing 4 at a time every 3 hours now I am doing ten at a time now.

Check out the Harlequin Treasury Temptation titles if you like Blaze. I find they are much better written then the Blaze series that took it's place.

For historicals, as I said earlier, I like Jeannie Lin, Christine Merrill. Louise Allen and Julia Justiss, but I forgot to mention Carla Kelly, who writes fabulously.

Are there authors in the bombshell line you other romance readers would particularly recommend? And which authors in the 1990s Treasury line are particular favorites?

I tried to tell some friends - some of them even with ebook readers - what is going on here. They didn't get it. (None of them is a romance reader.)

Beyond a mild "you won't be reading all of them anyway, so isn't this a bit much?" there has been no reaction from my husband. I still go down to meals, and even watch a movie with him at night, so he really can't complain.

I must go on a trip for four days into the Alps (lovely snow there right now) and will be OFFLINE! The horror! Although I know that I can come back to my computer on Sunday, and that the coupon and my wish list will in all likelihood still be there. And it'll be good training for February 1st.

"Who says I wont?" is my response. I am only 34 so I am stocking up for my older years.

I can read a HQ book in one day on a good day two and still get everything else done.

Since I can't check for myself, can anyone tell me if there is any trouble (DRM-related or otherwise) converting to Kindle format in Calibre? I am going to read mine on my Nook probably, but I have a friend that is on the verge of buying a Kindle and wants to know before she makes her decision. She's a big romance reader, like her friend, me! LOL

If you have Alfs special tools installed in you calibre then there shouldn't be any issues converting them to kindle. I imported one and the DRM was removed with no issue from there it's a simple click convert done.

Edit - Just did a run through to be sure no issues

Sooo a second phone call to unlock my account. They're very pleasant and helpful but said this can occur with multiple purchases in a short period of time.

Well am still unable to purchase anything. Talked to someone last evening but the ebook section was closed. Called this morning and the woman said it would be transferred to tech support. She thought that my repeated attempts to make it work had caused the problem using my cc. Still tried with another cc, same result. So, still can't play, but I must say I sure have had a good chuckle reading this thread. ATDrake what did you finally select for authors? I love the three device approach to buying. That is serious stuff!
