Yesterday I pre-ordered the Asus Transformer Prime tablet (the grey 32gb version with dock). On the website it says that expected date of delivery or pick up is 4-10 days. In the order confirmation it tells me that the expected date that I can pick it up is 7 February. So I emailed both the local store and the main office. The local store was the first to answer, the last thing they heard was that they'll get the tablet in the 3rd of 4th week of January but that I should contact the main office because they have the latest details. The main office responded that they expect the tablets to be in-store on Thursday.

What I do hope is that they'll arrive in the morning and they'll call me early, Asus recommends that the first time you should charge the tablet 8 hours.

Having the Gadget Anticipation Syndrom.
Yesterday I saw that the status of my ordered tablet had changed to "ready to ship", so I was hoping I would be able to pick it up from the store today. According to the online status at the moment my package is on its way to the store right now, hopefully it'll be there this morning and they call me quickly so I can pick it up.

Then an even more excruciating wait happens: the tablet needs to be charged for 8 hours before use.

Tonight my sister and I are going to the theatre to see Bert Visscher who is a stand-up comedian whose shows are in the form of a story. The new show is set on/around an ice rink.

So a fun day today.

Sitting here waiting for my "Out for delivery" Kindle Touch 3G. If experience is any guide, it will probable arrive around 5 PM. I got the one with ads this time. If I don't like the ads, I know that for a one-time fee (the difference in price between the Special Offers and the no-ads version), I can always opt out.

Right now after a joyous afternoon of prime reading on my kindle I am picking up the kids from school.

Afterwards I will be preparing some clothes for myself and my daughters photography shoot on the weekend. We have some themes set so need to start sewing a few garments together.

It is going to be difficult to work today. I will have a supply of hankies on hand.

I fee crap! this sore throat thingy from the past two days was supposed to get better today!
