I can see these promotions working one of two ways:

1) Amazon has an agreement with the publisher where they agree to split the cost of the discount in which case I am sure the publisher limits the number of discounts that can be given

2) Amazon is absorbing the entire cost of the promotion, in which case I'm sure they want to control the costs so it makes sense to put limits in place.

This is pathetic. I checked my KTKSO last night and only had 1 special offer. The buy one for $1.

Not very impressive.. Of course to be honest, I have been using my KF much more lately.

Regarding the "Buy One of 25 Award-Winning Books for $1" offer...Amazon is replacing the books that "sell out," so the list should stay at 25 ebooks until the offer expires on February 7. I'm going to keep checking to see if there are any new ones added that I'm interested in, since I missed out on the only one I wanted on that first day.

I was very happy to see Flowers for Algernon on sale. It's an excellent book, and I haven't read it in years. I snapped it up as soon as I saw it.

It brought back a lot of the same memories for me as well. Out of my graduating class I'm probably the most successful person in the group, but that's not saying much.

I've been wanting to write for the last couple years but I apparently have a terminal case of writers block :P

So... one ad/deal is the norm now? I had 4 or 5 when I first got the KT

I keep wifi on, but I guess if I dont use the KT it wont update ads
