Nook Color-Big X across the screen

Hello everybody,

I need some help, I downloaded a few PDF files to my nook, most work just fine, but a few PDF files when I open them I get a big X across the screen.
Any ideas what the problem is?

The problem files are probably files with scanned images. The NC PDF reader did not like such files. The recent 1.4.1 update contains a new PDF reader that from what I have read should not have this problem. Are you running firmware 1.4.1?
Otherwise try one of the PDF apps from the app store.

I checked under settings, Software version, 1.2.0

If your Nook is registered, and Wifi is active, you should have received updates 1.3 and 1.4.1.

You can do a manual update.

I DL 1.4.1 and it works!
