Hello,

My blog is called

Confessions Of An Author

http://fessingauthor.blogspot.com/

It used to be exclusively about writing and the business side of getting a new agent, going for a new deal etc after 2 print novels published by Piatkus. Then ebooks arrived and the blog gradually became a happier place. I now blog about self-publishing my work, and other mid-list authors, over at http://blackbirdebooks.com/ and have diversified into writing about not writing as well, specifically Hidden London. I live in central London and take my camera to the special cafes, galleries, museums etc that tourists probably wouldn't know about.

Stephanie

The Gamblers

Dr. Drib, thank you for this opportunity!

My blog is called "The Gamblers" where I blog about my novel 'The Gamblers' along with talk about upcoming work and other things crime fiction related. I will often review books that I read there and sometimes post short stories and other bits and pieces.

My latest post is about a recent promotion that I did on Amazon and how that worked out for me.

Here's the link: http://thegamblersnovel.com

Say The Word (and you'll be free...)

I hope I'm doing this right. It's the first time I've posted on this thread.

I've had a blog going for a few months now. I named it after the Beatles, of course, and I talk about publishing, both traditional and self-publishing, and the issues surrounding each. I also invite authors to guest blog and tell us about their books. And I talk about my work sometimes too.

Hope you'll join me there. The latest "business" post was a round robin with 4 indie authors about online promotion.

http://libbyhellmann.com/wp

And if there are any topics you'd like to talk about, let me know.

My blog is called Must Use Bigger Elephants, http://pattyjansen.wordpress.com/ and there is all sorts of stuff to be found there. At the moment I'm posting some results from my foray into 3D modelling. There are also a lot of posts about writing, and some about editing. I have an official site, and probably alternate blogs between it and the blog. There is a little bit of crossposting, but not much.

Annual P&E Reader's Poll is now open

FYI, the 15th Annual Preditors & Editors "Best Of 2011" Readers' Poll is now open.

http://critters.org/predpoll

Note that the dates are different this year than usual, starting now, rather than starting 1/1 as in previous years. This is a fairly well known poll (one of the first ebook awards, if not the first), so do pass the word along so folks are aware of the date change.

If you're new to the poll, the idea is you vote for your favorites in a bunch of categories. Voting is highly competitive. Winners receive a winners award logo to display on web sites, etc., to verify their accomplishment. You may nominate yourself in any applicable category, and urging your fans to vote for you is permitted. This year's categories are:

Ebooks / Print books: Horror | Romance | Science Fiction & Fantasy | Erotica | Mystery | Thriller | Children's | Young Adult | All other
Short Stories: Horror | Romance | Science Fiction & Fantasy | All other |
Anthologies | Poems | Nonfiction articles
Other Categories:
Artwork | Book/e-book Cover Artwork
Magazine/e-zine Cover Artwork
Authors | Poets | Artists
Book/e-book Editors | Magazine/e-zine Editors
Print/Electronic Book Publishers
Review site | Bookstore | Promotional Firms, Sites, and Resources
Fiction 'zines | Poetry 'zines | Nonfiction 'zines
Writers' Discussion Forum | Writers' Workshop
Writers' Resource/Information/News Source

(I don't think this is particularly self-promotion since I'm not associated with P&E, however I do manage the voting site for them, so I figured better safe than sorry. But... since I'm posting in the self-promotion forum anyway... Momentarily stepping out of impartial votemaster mode into partial nominee mode, Vote for Critters in the workshop category and ReAnimus Press for publisher!)

Anyway -- enjoy, and good luck!

Free SF for that new reader!

Did you, or someone you know, just get a new ebook reader for the holidays? Well, there's nothing better to start off with than free samples... and I have a few FREE samples, short story collections and one full novel, at Steven Lyle Jordan Books.

Start with some short story collections, like The Onuissance Cells and the Denial of Service stories. Then move up to the full novel Evoguía, the story about a scientist's experiments into human augmentation that lead four test subjects to develop into the prototype of Homo Evoguía... the Self-Evolved Man.

All books are available in multiple ebook formats, FREE and with No DRM to hinder your reading experience. Come check them out, and if you or your loved ones like them... tell your friends!

I blog about writing, gardening, food and life in general, usually with a comic slant. I have excerpts from my books and links to where you can buy them.
In today's blog "In Vino Veritas", I have previewed Chapter One of my Work-In-Progress and asked for feedback on it. Come join the party!
