The latest round of blood tests are causing some concern , what with the small blue and yellow corpusles floating around in the blood stream .

You know, in some of the bars I hang out in all that and the multi-limb "enhancements" are considered moderately to extremely attractive. I can take you to one of them if you like(*).

( note , I did not engage your services ; I was inveigled upon to attend said party - against my express wishes . Largely because it occurred in the past and I had no chance in the present to stop the transfer of my corporal being through the ether to your neck of the woods . Therefore your " no-risk policy " becomes invalid under section 113a sub-paragraph 5.113.24i of the watsitdumcallit thingy ) .

One I heard recently and like is 'by way of Robin Hood's barn' for the long way 'round.

Perhaps it means "by way of having to go rob from the rich, before you can give to the poor" --which would take some additional time. Hence, "by way of Robin Hood's barn".
However, I could see the phrase meaning "by less than reputable means" rather than "the long way". I.E. The "wrong way" or at least the "skirting the law" way.
