Get back in memory lane and have fun. Life was simple then without much technical stuff.

We remember when there was no internet and even personal computers.

- When there were only four channels.

- You had the phone number of everyone you knew memorized because you had to dial on a rotary phone.

When you realize the person you're talking to doesn't remember Mount St. Helens, or the Space Shuttle Challenger blowing up, or the fall of the Berlin wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The Mount St. Helens thing actually happened. I gave a clerk my birth date and she said it was the same as her boyfriend's, and I mentioned that it was also the day Mount St. Helens erupted. She clearly had no idea what I was talking about. I told her it was probably before her time.

Gas stations used to give premiums (like Cleveland Browns' glasses) for fill-ups of 8 gallons or more.

I remember my mother used to put $3.00 worth of gas in our car and then complain it didn't count for the 8 gallons to get the free glass (or whatever) because it wasn't a fill-up.

I remember the first VCR I owned had a CORDED remote control.

I remember when soda pop came in bottles that you returned to the store (and wouldn't a stack of unwashed sugary soda bottles sitting at the grocery just be a big roach motel?!)

Wow, that must have been in my grandparent's time... The earliest price I could find, it was about 1 euro per liter in the early '70s...
