Is it possible to use the Kobo browser in landscape mode? Can't find the trick to do it if it exists.
Else this would be a nice, and very practicle, option to add without too much work for the Kobo team. |

I agree I would very much like this feature and was surprised that the KT did not have this feature from the beginning.

When viewing CBRs I noticed that you can rotate it clockwise.. How about an option to rotate counter-clockwise.. You can get the same result rotating 3 times but it would be nice to only have to rotate once. Especially if you press too many times and have to rotate a bit more to get it to where you wanted.

I've bequeathed my Kobo Touch to my husband and I have one future firmware upgrade request.
I would love it if the Touch can create Sideloaded Periodicals (i.e. those generated from Calibre's free news feed) as actual "Newspapers". I have a new e-reader which does this and have been going to town creating magazines from all my favorite RSS feeds, but when a newspaper is transported via calibre for the KT (using a built in recipe) it treats it as another book. |

User defined Folders in library.
pan & scan & zoom for cbr/cbz. word search in books. Lanscape mode for every ebook type. for pdfs: zoom ration on double click should be user definable...sometime the double click is too. big or too small Last edited by grinch; 12-15-2011 at 12:42 PM. |

Assuming you're on the latest firmware (1.9.14):
Click on the middle bottom of a page, click on the "book" icon, choose search in book. Quote:

Has the Kobo dev team thought about adding a popup dictionary definition feature to the Touch, along with using a better built-in dictionary? I find the popup definitions an indispensable feature on the Kindle 3 and it's something that's pushing me towards the Sony as my new reader.

The first time I inserted a sdhc card in the reader, I was very surprised to note that it doesn't appear under the technical information, storage.
It would be nice to have an extra line showing the information relating to the micro sd card once inserted. Any news regarding the e.t.a. of the next update ? |

How about being able to move/copy sideloaded books between the onboard storage and the microSD card. That way you can keep your library on one or more SDs and just move/copy over the books you want to read in the near future then remove the SD to reduce battery drain on powerup.

Recently added sort feature and other requests
Would love to see books sorted by last date added and the option to show just book name/list of current reads instead of book covers on home page. I've loaded a bunch of epubs that don't have photo/book covers and can't tell them apart in the current book cover format - all I see is really, really small text of the first page. The original Kobo had both these features.
Would also like to see page count of each book in library view so I know how big the book is before I open it. Thanks! |
