Even better is the "copy to" option which lets me choose which folder to place the files. So it's a seamless transfer from dropbox to my music, ebooks and pictures folders all within one app.

Heaven!!!

ES File Explorer is like, totally my favorite app.

I'm such a dummy. I KNEW there just had to be an easier way. Why oh why did I not figure this out before???

I'm sure the majority of folks in this forum already knew this and are probably rolling their eyes at the silly noob but I don't care. I'm soooooo happy!!! [happy dance]
Not only does it work with Dropbox, but it also works for Sugarsync and Box.net.

I've got both my Sugarsync and Dropbox account installed in it and the work flawlessly with it.

Download multiple files caught my attention. Off to give it a whirl.

I hope you're as delighted with it as I am.

The inability to download a complete folder or multiple files was the reason I could never get into the dropbox app and what drove me to finally figure out how to use Calibre content server to transfer books into my nook color.

Once I got a taste of wireless file transferring, connecting my nook color (or my phone) to my computer via usb just suddenly felt...wrong.

I already loved ES File Explorer before I discovered this functionality. I cannot believe this app is free.

Highlighting PDFs

Anyone have a problem highlighting PDFs? This is my first time doing so. I've looked at the YouTube video in the Android Market. I'm not able to get it work as shown. The highlights won't "stick" to the text. I turn the page (after highlighting text) and the highlight is there. Like it's stuck to the screen. I've played with it last night and again today. Seems like a simple process. Just can't get it. I really need to get this feature working for research purposes. Lots of docs to go through. I don't want to buy ezPDF or Repligo at this stage. Like a nut, I passed on the 10 cents offer for ezPDF. I thought I purchased it months ago. WRONG.

I noticed the new update today. I normally just click update without a thought. Today I decided to view the details of the update. That's when I saw lots of negative comments. Really don't like the moving of the Dropbox folder. I won't be updating.

Oh boy, I figured it out. It doesn't like files made using CutePDF. I grabbed some other files that were not exported as PDFs (straight downloads from sites) and Mantano likes them. Interesting.

At least I figured it out. I only use CutePDF when I'm in Windows mode on my Mac. There's a Windows application I'm using that doesn't export content in PDF format. I have to "print" it using CutePDF.

I have been using the new version since it was released as a beta (a few weeks ago), and I think it is much better than the previous one. You shouldn't just go by the comments. If your device is rooted, you can make a backup of the current version, update and give it a try. If you don't like it, restore the backup.

If you are not rooted, you should still be able to find the previous version to download on the net.

Thanks. I'm not rooted. I have the current version backed up. I don't know why they buried the Dropbox folder with this new version. I hate digging in Android/Data/com.whatever for stuff. That alone is enough of a turnoff. I'll wait and see what the next update brings.

I've replaced CutePDF Writer with Adobe Acrobat X Pro (not Adobe Reader). Highlighting works. I'm using the 30 day trial for now. I can make use of the additional features. I plan on buying the Student/Teacher edition to take advantage of a more reasonable price. Adobe's stuff is outrageous.

I use Bullzip for my free PDF printer but have not tested it with Mantano.

Montano: Too slow to render pdf resizing

Yesterday while looking for a good pdf + epub reader, I stumbled on the Mantano reader. This looks like a good product as it mostly has what I need. I found a serious problem with it though and I am wondering if it is my settings or the problem with the product.

I was using acer iconia 10-inch android tablet (dual core). I found that when I read the book in landscape mode with horizontal fit option and scroll up, the bottom of the page takes about 1 to 1.5 secs to refresh and become sharp. This although does not stop you from reading the book, is a nagging thing that you want to avoid.

I do not see this effect in the acrobat reader. I was wondering if anybody has seen this.

Anybody knows of any other reader that can show pdf and epub (I tried aldiko but that won't work for me bcoz horizon fit mode does not work!)

Many comments are misleading. The dropbox folder is not buried, now you get the choice where to download files.

Thanks for clarifying. You think they would mention that under "What's New" to avoid confusion. That's a significant feature. How long has the Dropbox folder been in its previous place?

I tried a trial of DeskPDF as well. Doesn't work with Mantano. So I got the real deal.

I have had an issue with mantano (latest version from the market) in that I have a pdf where I turn on reflow and change the text size, but every time I go into mantano I have to do this all over again. It is not saving my changes. Is that a bug or am I just missing something.

I am currently using the free version btw. I guess there is no real difference between paid and free except for a small banner ad.
