Thanks so much for the replies everyone. I really like how the bookmarks are on the side in dolphin. I noticed dolphin also has an ad blocker add on. That's exactly what I did. Not sure which one I'm going to stick with yet though. They're both pretty nice. Last edited by sparklemotion; 12-22-2011 at 02:06 PM. |

For those that use Opera, I removed the status bar, but there is still a thick black bar at the bottom of the page? Any way to get rid of that? Edit - strange.. I switched to portrait mode and then back to landscape and it disappeared. Last edited by sparklemotion; 12-22-2011 at 02:19 PM. |

They both are nice. However, I don't understand how Dolphin can put out a full feature mobile browser that only uses 5 MB of App storage compared to over 20 MB for Silk and Opera Mobile. Maybe it has something to do with the add-ons but, I don't see any features lacking without the add-ons. The add-ons just add other functions like being able to save a Webpage in PDF for example. Plus, check out the gesture browsing and Webzine features of Dolphin. Last edited by obsessed2; 12-22-2011 at 02:28 PM. | |

That's a good question, that's a big size difference. Right now I'm really liking dolphin, so I may stick with it.

Janice, Have you instead tried to install the Overdrive Media Console app to do your lending at your library? It took a while but I was able to get it to work: http://www.overdrive.com/software/omc/AndroidEULA.aspx Try it. Quote:

Based upon obsessed recommendation I switched to Dolphin and thoroughly enjoyed my browsing experience. yesterday Mozzilla released version 9.0 for Android and the PC and I'm rather impressed so far. You can synchronize everything between both the PC and your Kindle. So far I haven't seen any site with compatibility issues. The auto zoom for data entry is pleasant. I'll post an update in a couple of days but for now I recommend everyone to kick the wheels and take it for a spin.

Firefox is showing some signs of sluggishness. I may just keep with Dolphin. I really do like the synch feature of Firefox and Android.

For those that use Dolphin, which version are you using? Mini or HD? And why did you pick one over the other? Carol |
