Sending 'Comments' from Calibre to Kindle3

I vaguely remember that I might have asked a similar question quite some time ago but don't think it was answered and cannot find it.

Is it possible to copy a book from Calibre to a Kindle3 taking the 'Comments' contents with it to store on the kindle with the book. I use this Calibre field for every book and basically it contains a precis of the book.

I imagine it not only depends on Calibre to be able to action this but also the Kindle as to whether it can hold this information easily accessible.

You can do this one of two ways.

1. Convert the book with the Insert metadata as page at start of book feature checked, found in the Structure Detection area. This will place a book jacket in the front of the book that includes the comments.

2. Create a catalog of the books you are sending to the device. This will create a Mobi book that could include the comment section for each book you include in the catalog. Catalog creation is via a dropdown arrow to the right of the Convert Books icon.

Comments ex Calibre to Kindle

Walt,

Is there any way to stop the format conversion eg trying to send comments etc to Kindle - currently an .azw file and it wants to convert it to .mobi.
