Those photos in that post aren't representative of everyone's experiences. I have a T1 and a K3. I like them both, and I use them both daily. The T1 screen is fine and has clear text, and I spend more time reading books on it than my K3. Many people don't like the Sony default font compared to the Kindle fonts. The T1 has built-in font options, and I prefer Amasis to the Sony default. There was a touchscreen freeze issue, but Sony issued a firmware update and now my T1 is stable and doesn't crash anymore. It's a great device. I recommend you check one out at the store. |

Anyone have any experience using the physical page turn buttons on the T1 for any length of time? Everything seems pretty cool except for the location of those page turn buttons (I'm assuming the "< >" keys on the bottom-left are the page turn buttons). That location doesn't seem like it would be very conducive to comfortable one-handed reading (with either hand).
Basically... I'm not interested in page-turning with Touch. I want to be able to use buttons for that. So given that, will the T1 work well for me if I like to read one-handed (sometimes with either hand)? |

I tried the buttons on the K4 in the store and and didn't like them at all. ApK Last edited by ApK; 12-21-2011 at 04:58 PM. |

The Kindle side buttons are more comfortable. The Sony buttons work ok for me because I hold the reader in my left hand only and also tilt it at the same time. Sony has used this design for awhile now. I am surprised they haven't changed it. They used to have side buttons once upon a time.
DiapDealer, maybe you should buy a K3 while they are still available. |

I have the Sony Pocket 350 which functions like the T1 from the description on the Sony site. I liked it a lot, but now that I have the Kindle Touch, I probably will retire it. I didn't like that the page turn button was in an awkward spot and I didn't like swiping to turn the page. It was tiresome and all too often instead of turning the page, I would accidentally highlight a word.
I was using my Sony more than my Kindle Keyboard because of it's light weight. But the Kindle Touch feels very light and I prefer tapping to turn the page. I thought I would miss having a button for turning the page, but I don't. |

I have the same button layout on a 650 and it's fine. I use a combination of buttons, swipe and tap (with PRS+). I use 'em all. Side buttons like on the K4 look nice, but I really want buttons and touch, not one or the other.
