I think I'll give ezPDF a try since i found a lot of positive reviews. Additionally there were a bunch of reviews comparing ezPDF to Mantano and users were describing my exact experience with Mantano reader with problems with highlighting ect. They found they didn't have those problems with exPDF so hopefully it will work with me.

So the problem now is how to I obtain ezPDF for the vox without access to the Android market.

Alas, they don't have AndroidPit or other store presence. Otherwise I'd suggest you buy it on another Android device and wait for the Market to get enabled on the Vox.

My father and sister both have android phones so I guess I could put one of their accounts on my Vox. Has anyone successfulyl got a paid app on the Vox by using another android device?

Yes. I bought swiftkey x tablet on my phone, backed up my phone apps using Astro file manager on the phone, and then added the apks I wanted into dropbox and installed from there. You can also buy some paid apps from handango.com and install them on your Vox. I bought quickoffice that way.

Right I'm getting frustrated with how hard this is. I wanted to grab the foxit reader but it keeps telling me that I "don't have a device registered" in the android market. Can someone please help before I do something drastic?

Come to think of it, using getjar gets me a "no application for this" when I try to download. UGH.

I am accessing Android Market via my Vox and it tells me I don't have a device! Eh, what? Has anyone else had this issue? sorry - i am very new to Android so expecting teething issues, but didn't expect this one.

The Vox does not work with Android Market. You cannot get apps for the Vox from there. You will have to use alternative markets, for example, GetJar, Handango, SlideMe. You can often find the apps you need by searching on the app name, for example, quickoffice apk

thanks, taming. Very helpful - I found your post that references goodereader.com's list and will have a play tonight.
