Ah, so you can set up a seperate 1-Click credit card for your Kindle as opposed to your online account? (Not that I use 1-click that often when online.) I was thinking you guys meant get a whole seperate Amazon account with the limited card and register the kindles to that account.
Sorry, I confused you with that. As far as I know, you can only have one credit card assigned to 1-click but you can bypass 1-Click to use a different credit card by using the shopping cart (for non-Kindle purchases).

Yes, that seems to be the case. I added my Discover and with the manage Kindle and changed on click to use the Discover. When I went to my normal oneclick settings it was set to use my discover as well.

What is weird is that the one click setup page "seems" to look like you can associate a different credit card with each address in your system. But, when I tried to edit an address that said I have no CC associated, it wouldn't let me pick the mastercard, which was one click for kindle and my default address but only showed discover. Hmm... I can associate another ddress with the discover. So, it seem each address can be associated with a different credit card, yet not the one associated to your primary address. Unless there is a bug on this section... because I do show another address associated with my mastercard as is my default address.

Just found the answer to this question in the help files.

Returning Kindle Content

Any content you purchase for Kindle from the Amazon Kindle store is eligible for return and refund if we receive your request within 7 days of the date of purchase. Once a refund is issued, the item will be removed from Your Media Library and will no longer be readable on your Kindle. To request a refund and return, click the Customer Service button in the Contact Us box in the right-hand column of this page to reach us via phone or e-mail. Please make sure to include the title of the item you wish to return in your request.
I read somewhere that the book had to be less than 20% read to keep people from purchasing, reading the whole book then returning it. I haven't found the place I read that yet.

Does Amazon have the ability to know how much of a book has been read?

I can't find the source of the "less 20% read", it's impossible to search the Amazon discussion boards, so chalk that part up to rumor and ignore it.

I'll try to help you find a buyer if you dump the Kindle for a nice shiny new 505. And then all those wonderful eBooks you already have you can still read without having to convert into some alien format.

Bookmarks are stored on an Amazon server and not the Kindle? WTF? So you need to be in Sprint hot spot to get your bookmarks back? That is bad business. I do not want to be without my bookmarks just because I have the wifi off or no access to it.

The bookmarks are stored on the Kindle. I read mine mostly with the Whispernet off and have no problems with my bookmarks.

But they also store them on their server? That is a bad idea and very invasive. Glad I didn't go near the Kindle. Big Brother is watching you. And that's worse then 1984.

JSWolf, are you just trying to start flames? Notice you are on the Kindle forum. I don't think anyone here really wants to be evangelized to about your Sony. It seems like every thread you post in you are putting down the Kindle. We actually LIKE the Kindle or else we wouldn't have invested in it.

Bookmarks are stored as clippings which are saved on the sever in case something bad should happen to your Kindle (not "your" Kindle). I see it as a nice feature. What the heck could be learned from a bookmark that would bring about the end of our freedoms?

Agreed. In any case, one can read a book with the net-connection turned off. Then you could connect to your PC/Mac and delete the bookmark file, before you turn the net-connection back on. I'm guessing this would prevent Amazon ever getting hold of it. But I haven't tried it, cuz I see no need to keep Amazon from backing up the bookmark files for me.
