Well mine comes from my name and year of birth. C for Charles and Rich for Richard and of course 1970 for the year of birth.

My avatar is Possum, my now departed cat. Someone already had that name registered, so I just stuck Book in front of it. She used to help me to read by sitting on me for hours - good excuse to go on reading rather than getting up and doing something boring like housework!

Mine came from a nickname I gave my husband. We worked together at a towing company when we started dating. We had a lengthy discussion about the stupid nicknames couples give to eachother and how we would never do that cause it's childish. Well of course being that smartass that I am I started calling him Pookeybear from that day on. The dispatcher at work heard me call him that one night and from there everybody started calling him that. I still remember them calling him into the office over the PA system "Pookeybear to dispatch please"...yeah, that went over well

Funny, a female friend (not a girlfriend at all) and I once had a similar discussion and ended up calling each other 'snookums' afterwards.

I think that's cute. My husband and I have been together for over 6 years and I still call him that. Just recently I let it slip in front of his friends that own a tattoo shop that I advertise for and oh wow, that caught on really quick with them. And I have to add that my hubby is 6'1" about 240lbs, shaved head and a LOT of tattoos (including my lips on his neck). Not really the type you'd think to call Pookeybear at first glance

Mine is because one of my hobbies is spinning (the kind which turns processed fiber into yarn, not the stationary bike kind) only I do all my spinning on spindles. I also play guitar, piano, and ukulele, but to put those in front of "girl" would imply I am good at it
