no! I like cs! they were across the street from my dads offices! I don't. like diet sofas and overly sweet things. but love me some celestial seasonings! I even ordered a case of red singer this summer and gave boxes to clients to male iced tea when it was hot

Ah, gotcha. Yes I think I did have you mixed up with Prof. Crash. But this is sooooooo good. And I translate fluent typo, so no worries!

I am very disappointed in this tea and wish I could return it. I've brewed two pots so far "just to make sure," but this tea does not taste like Russian Caravan tea. It is difficult to find one though.
I have Fortnum and Mason's Russian Caravan

blend of China Black Keemun and Oolong teas

it misses the smoky tea. I have not tried it yet.
The East India Company doesn't have it as loose tea.
I have a few more links and planning to try it in the foreseeable future

It was Loyd's Assam (from Polish shop). Meh. Then again, everything is meh in the office but their Yunnan was the better meh than most other black teas.

It really does vary from importer to importer. Some even give Russian Caravan tea a hint of Bergamot! (shudder....) I need mine to have that hint of Lapsan Souchong. I wish I could remember the tea merchant from which I bought the last Russian Caravan tea that I liked... It was a good strong brew! Perfect for crossing the Russian Steppes in winter on the back of an ox, and sleeping in Yurts. Or was it crossing on Yurts and sleeping in... Too late in the evening to try to think. I'm going to drink rum!

Hmmm. This version appears to not have Lapsang Souchong in it. "Russian Caravan" seems to vary quite a bit depending on who blends it. I know the Peet's version is good, but haven't tried this one. And Peet's does ship to Canada, but it is a bit expensive if you aren't doing a big order. I tend to order my tea at the same time I order 10 Lbs of Major Dickason's coffee. The shipping costs are then minor. Or order to my US address if I'm making a trip down to the Seattle area.

Yes, the Peet's version does have a hint of Bergamot. Which, given that The Terminator really likes Earl Grey, seemed like a good fit for him. Like you, I prefer mine without the Bergamot, but definitely prefer it to have a bit of Lapsang Souchong (as the Peet's does). There doesn't seem to be much consensus about exactly what belongs in a blend called Russian Caravan from importer to importer, I agree.

In my cup this morning. Fresh squeezed OJ. A mix of early (and not terribly good) early Navels and seasonal Mandarins.
