In the Kobo desktop properties and/or the Kobo reader menu have a choice to sync or not to sync books as I have sideloaded from calibre and when you do a firmware update if you are not careful it will sync books as well

The only must have left for me is Book folders (that are viewable from the KT), so I can categorise books and find things easier.

In german books I have a problem with the dictionary. If I click on a word with typical german letters (ä, ü, ö, ß) this letters are like a space and so you can not select the hole word to translate...
example: Bücher you select 'B' or 'cher' Also there is a problem with books with a large toc. When I want to read the bible for example there are around 120 pages in the toc and I could only navigate to the next or last. There it will be better to navigate like in the book with the slider. And it will be good to be able to collapse the subchapters. Felix P.S. sorry for my bad english |

An additional feature that would be great, considering that the cover of the last book appears in sleep / shut down modes, would be to have the option :
- to show the last page viewed as is (i.e. if zoomed or moved to a particular section of the page) i.o. the cover This option will enable the possibility to show plans / maps in sleep / shut down modes with details i.o. presently the whole plan / map. This last mode will be the perfect choice as it will be possible to use a plan / map for hours without using the battery. As a hiker this would be a great option to have. Also very practicle while visiting a city, using local transportation plan, etc... |

I'd like to be able to make notes, so an application that had a keyboard and a screen a bit like notepad on a PC.
Thanks John |

Not sure if the developers intended this but before 1.9.14 for the Kobo Touch, the page you were reading would be set when you exited the ebook via the "<-Home" or "<-Library" link in the options menu. Now that no longer is true, the KT doesn't save your place and the next time that ebook is opened you are back to where you were when you opened the book previously.. (e.g. Open book previously read at page 15, read till page 20, exit ebook via option menu "<-Home", open ebook again, you are back at page 15 not page 20. In the past you would be at page 20.) Is this intended or is it a bug that got introduced in 1.9.14?

I think this normally is a sign of a corrupted database on the Kobo itself

Dunno if this has been requested before, but I would like a way to zoom on pictures in ePub files, and then pan on the pictures.
For example, in the Lord of the Rings books, the maps are too small, and therefore unreadable ^^ |

French is one of Canada's National Languages yet I'm reading can't get French dictionary or French translation of English on Kobo E-Readers. This is more stupid than USA not fully using metric system. Really a shameful situation.
I live in Florida and don't speak French. |

I wonder how many have encountered it seeing as how I figure most people would return to home by pressing the hardware button and not via the option menu. It is handy for me when searching for and opening 2-3 books I want to read in sequence or a different book at different times of day. |

PDFs: If you're zoomed into a pdf document, you should be able to turn
the page while remaining zoomed in and the position should be fixed. Most people don't read single page pdf's and still need to turn the page after they found the zoom _sweet spot_ and _position_. Gets very annoying ![]() |

Two suggestions that I think would improve the Kobo experience a fair amount:
1. Please make the page numbers at the bottom of PDF pages optional. Right now, if you try to read a PDF in portrait mode, the page number often obscures the entire bottom line. 2. Please make the browser compatible with the Dotepub.com service. This will make it possible to save an entire web page as an EPUB on the fly. It's easy to do right now with a browser on a laptop, but then it must still be sideloaded. Thanks! |
