This is just my guess; that Pocket Informant is not like Calengoo where you can select to sync w/Google Calendar. I grabbled PI as well, and my Google Calendar does sync... but I'm 100% sure that's because I rooted the Fire last week and made sure to put on the GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk; so that Google calendar syncing would work.

Edit: Maybe here? In Settings, Events, Calendars Visibility, I can choose either the PI calendar, or my google calendar. But again, for me that may be because I've previously put on googlecalendarsyncadapter.apk. Last edited by slkissinger; 12-07-2011 at 10:37 AM. |

Not as good as DateBK4 on the Palm III (I still miss that one), but quite good. Don't know how it will sync with my PC, however (if this is possible at all) Best regards, Andy |

I'm with @weatherman in that I cannot see how to make it sync with Google Calendars. If it cannot, then WTFire! Amazon should not list apps as Fire ready if they use Google Services which Amazon blocks. A standalone Calendar is totally useless to me.

There was a comment on a Facebook post that floated by which asked why the Android version of this app did not have the Google Calendar support like the iPad version does. Can't really confirm the reliability of the remark, but perhaps the problem is that the Android version doesn't have the support yet whereas the iPad version does? I grabbed it because of the sync with ToodleDo and to check it out. Maybe in the future an update will have the Google Calendar sync. I can't find anything specific in the description which talks about Google Calendar sync, only a mention of Google Tasks.

I believe it's because it suppose to synch with the default Android calendar which does Google sync. The Kindle Fire doesn't have that app so that feature wont work.

I believe this page will tell you the difference between the levels. I did end up getting the Pro Plus (work expense) for some things, but I'm using it for some higher end reasons at work, not just to-do list tracking. I'd definitely recommend checking out the free version. I haven't tried the sync yet with Pocket Informer, but will report back when I have time to do so (hopefully tonight). |

If I had bought this app instead of getting it free, I'd be pretty pissed. Instead I just think that either PI made a huge mistake releasing this, or Amazon screwed up and put this in the Fire store. Either way, it's not really making PI look very good. |

I've used Informant on iPod Touch. It's in a later release with more function than the Android version. I think Blossom is right that wd need the default calendar app to sync. How do we get that installed?

Thats absolutely right. PI on my phone (along with calengoo) shows my google calendar just fine. And calengoo shows my microsoft exchange work calendar on my phone and that isnt possible right now on the fire.
