I have a black 650 with a red cover. If I get a T1 (possibly after the new fix is in), I'd get a red one with a black cover.

Mine is black. I was going to get the red but decided on a DecalGirl skin that was predominantly blue and decided it would go best with the black. I haven't had any issues with glare.

For me, electronics pretty much have to be black. Discrete and out of the way. I'd have preferred a less glossy look though as the shiny bezel does attract fingerprints too easily and can cause light reflection.

I ordered the white one and love the way it looks (but unfortunately it doesn't work properly, I'm one of the people with crashing issues etc). I don't know why I like that colour in particular, I just do

I bought a white one, mainly because of how badly the glossy black seemed to show fingerprints on the demo models I saw.
But I do find that in anything other than really bright light, the screen does tend to look rather grey compared to the white-white frame.

I did seriously consider a 'red' one, but after having a play with one in a shop, I decided it just wasn't 'red' enough. Definitely too much of a pinkish hue to it for me. Had it been a real fire truck red, I probably would've bought one.

Definitely considering a skin for my 'iReader' now.

I agree, I went with the black one. White would get too dirty too quick, and the red was too pink for me. The space between the buttons and the bottom of the screen is a lighter red, almost pink, compared to the rest of the body.

Are you sure? After having a red T1 for about three days, an afternoon read in bright sunlight suddenly had me thinking that the buttons were a pale rose-gold colour, rather than silver which is what I had also been happily assuming.

Once I saw that, I couldn't unsee it. Dare you all to take a close look under natural light.
