(PRS+ Upgrade) A question that has almost certainly been asked...

...but I'm not having luck with the site search. I had to hard reset my PRS-350 this morning ( ) and when I loaded PRS+ back on I saw all the pretty new features of 2.0.16. Ooooh. Aaaah. I'd like to load 2.0.16 onto my PRS-950, but I can't find out whether I can do a direct upgrade from 2.0.12, or if I have to uninstall first? Thanks in advance. ( ) |

I just downloaded the automatic install program and ran when I installed it on my 950 (I had the previous veresion on it already). Not sure if that was the right way to do it, but it worked... |

Whoa! Just realized that my PRS-350 isn't showing Calibre tags anymore, except for the series tags. I figured it was just the PRS-350, but now that I've already updated the PRS-950, I'm seeing the same behavior. Help! EDIT: Ack. The tags ARE there, but now they're sorted with the series tags. I like this NOT AT ALL. Is there a setting I can change? |

Looks like the change occurred in 2.0.14: x50: Fixed #128 books/collections sorting NOT a fix, in my book -- I liked the old way. Any way that I can load up the 2.0.13 version? |

Aaaaaaaaaah. *relief* 2.0.13 made everything the way I want it, collections-wise. http://code.google.com/p/prs-plus/do...+DownloadCount I hope that becomes a custom option in the future -- I like having all the collections clumped in their "groups" from Calibre! |

Hi anamardoll, Can you describe in a bit more detail the change you see in collection sorting? The fix you mention shouldn't have any impact on collection sorting for English-language users. |

[Series tags, alphabetized] [tags, alphabetized] [custom column tags 1, alphabetized] [custom column tags 2, alphabetized] So in practice, I would have: Aftertime Series Deathlands Series Xanth Series audiobook fiction (fantasy) fiction (sci-fi) review (no) review (yes) source (amazon) source (b&n) Upgrading to 2.0.16 alphabetized EVERYTHING, so I had: Aftertime Series audiobook Deathlands Series fiction (fantasy) fiction (sci-fi) review (no) review (yes) source (amazon) source (b&n) Xanth Series Regressing to 2.0.13 fixed the problem. | |

Thank you for the explanation; it's all clear now. I'm going to hand the matter over to kartu though, as I can't find the cause in the code (and he built the sorting code).

Welp, I downgraded from 13 back down to 12. I don't know why, but today when I was taking screenshots, I noticed that no matter what book I was in, it took 30 second or more for a shot. And this was on both the 950 and the 350. I downgraded back to 12 and the screenshots are much more reasonably timed now. I hope that helps with ya'lls development. I really appreciate PRS+. |

Thanks for the report, anamardoll. I'll keep it in mind in case someone reports a similar problem with the current version. I don't think we will go bug hunting in version 13 though... I hope you'll find some way to upgrade without losing your collection sorting btw! Otherwise, if you keep encountering bugs, you might find yourself running out of older versions to revert to |
